A Father's Advice
eCribbage exists because of a conversation between a son and his father. Before passing away from cancer, Damien Blond's dad told him to go after his dreams. Damien quit his programming job at a cell phone company in San Diego and poured everything into creating the most comprehensive online cribbage community on the web.
Building the Platform
From 2006 to 2008, Damien developed and programmed eCribbage from scratch. Every game variant, every feature, every pixel — crafted by hand with a vision of creating something no other cribbage site could match.
Launch Day
eCribbage launched in mid-2008 with the mission of being the ultimate online cribbage destination. The early community was small but passionate, and word spread quickly among cribbage enthusiasts.
HAL Partnership
Damien partnered with Hal Mueller — creator of HALSCRIB, the strongest cribbage AI program ever built. 25+ years of research and development brought world-class computer opponents to the platform. "We wanted the best," Damien said.
Growing Community
The platform grew to nearly 22,000 registered users with hundreds competing simultaneously in dozens of games. In October 2012, 50% of all eCribbage purchases were donated to Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, raising $1,426 for cancer research — honoring the memory that started it all.
The Golden Era
The community exploded. New game variants like CrossCribb and Crash Cribbage brought fresh strategic depth to the platform. Regular tournaments ran daily, powered by an incredible team of volunteer tournament directors who kept the competition alive and the community thriving. eCribbage became more than a game — it became a home for cribbage players.
A New Vision
As AI technology emerged and transformed what was possible, Damien saw an opportunity to do something bold — not just update the game, but reimagine it from the ground up. A new AI-powered card engine. A modern interface built for any device. Smarter opponents that learn and adapt. The vision was big: take everything players loved about eCribbage and elevate it to an entirely new level.

That vision is now becoming a reality. eCribbage Plus brings the same passion, the same game variety, and the same community spirit — rebuilt with modern technology, stunning visuals, and a refined experience designed for the next generation of cribbage. The revolution continues.
